Travel packing can be overwhelming, so let me get to it.
If these tips don’t eliminate your stress, hire me to pack for you.
PACKING TIPS:
- Know where you’re going and think about how you want to want to feel while there. Be inspired by the culture of the location, national or international.
- At least a week ahead of time pull out all the clothes you enjoy wearing that fit the vibe of where you’re going. Bring out more clothes than you’re going to need.
- Create entire outfits with what you’ve pulled. Tops, pants, dresses, socks, underwear, bathing suits, cover-ups, shoes, accessories – all of it.
- Try each outfit on or don’t. I don’t because I know my closet well, but it may help you to ensure you really like the way an outfit looks and feels.
- Make a pile to wash what you need to wash and decide if you need to purchase anything new.
- Add 1-2 extra entire outfits and a few miscellaneous pieces. This gives you the flexibility to get dressed based on how you want to feel that day.
- I highly recommend packing cubes, folding garment bags & a jewelry roll.
- My husband rolls his clothes, which somehow worked well for our carry-on-only situation when we went to Indonesia; but since then, I’ve found that laying my clothes flat is a space-saver. If you have a good trick, let me know!
- Don’t forget to take risks! Knowing you’re never going to see the people you encounter on your travels again can give you the courage to get creative and try new things.
- Then, HAVE FUN ON YOUR TRIP AND ENJOY GETTING DRESSED 😘!
Travel is special. Make your outfits special 💛.
