I came across this cool NPR + Elle Magazine study (5 minute video) about how clothes and fashion affect your brain.

I’ve always known that clothes affect how you think and feel about yourself, yet I talk with people weekly who believe clothes are superficial and treat them as an afterthought.

The way I see it is, we HAVE to get dressed everyday. Why not enjoy it?!

If you’re someone who struggles with what to wear, you know how much energy it can take just to get dressed. You’ve probably also experienced being uncomfortable at an event or missing it altogether because you didn’t feel good in your body or your clothes.

We forget what a big impact these situations have on how we live our lives. We can end up living small and instead of focusing on the important stuff like our experiences and connections with people, places and things, we allow ourselves to be distracted by the discomfort we feel in our own skin.

Please please know this doesn’t have to be the way! Keep following along and I will continue to tell you how to have both a meaningful life AND a meaningful relationship with your clothes.

And if you need support to get to that place, set up a free 20-minute style consultation.
