Doesn’t it seem like everyone wants to lose 5 pounds? That no matter what size you are, there’s a slight wanting to just be a little thinner followed by a hesitation to invest in clothes until the “5 lbs” are gone.
I was at dinner with some girlfriends this past weekend and we were planning a Badass Bitches Boobies, Bikinis and Bellinis Pool Party (obviously there will be a newsletter recap after 😉). That’s when the five pounds came up, again! Someone mentioned losing the lbs before feeling comfortable getting their bikini out. And as girl talk does, the conversation went to lbs and sex and how it definitely doesn’t matter to a potential lover (if it does, get outta there!), and about how we see each other as beautiful and flawless despite cellulite, rolls and wrinkles. Goodness I love lady time!!
I always say that you have to get dressed every day, so why not enjoy it! As I was talking about that, my friend Jordan dropped these pearls for wisdom:
“Whatever size I’m at – I look my best.”
I LOVE THIS. It’s okay to have physical goals (and don’t forget your style goals from the beginning of the year) , but you have to think about your motivation. And remember that on your way to any goal, you have no choice but to always look your best. And, please don’t let your goals stop you from wearing that bikini to a pool party with your best friends! 👙
