While not universally exciting, laundry is my happy place 🧦🧺 (I guess I love clothes no matter what state they’re in 😉)!
Sorting, spraying, and watching things spin around give me pause to reflect on my day, and sometimes something dawns on me between cycles.
I posted a reel about a conversation I had with my friend and her desire for a new “it” bag. I tried urging her to purchase anything other than what was trending because groupthink is not a vibe, right?
Then she started talking about how the bad would help her connect, and that go me thinking while I sorted socks…
Are trends a door to community?
And if they are, how can we join the trends while maintaining our individuality and our ability to think for ourselves – especially when it comes to buying & consuming?

By the time I got to the towels, I had decided that not all trends are bad, and maybe, just maybe, we can follow a trend and make it our own without alienating the community that’s following it.
